Requirements

  • Diet Technician Registration/Certification required.
  • Completion of an Accredited Dietetic Technician program required.
  • Current registration as a Dietetic Technician through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a clinical healthcare setting preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The registered Dietetic Technician (DRT) will be responsible for providing screening to patients in the inpatient setting.
  • The DTR will work closely with registered Dietitians and will assist with providing diet counseling and education to both patients and families.
