About The Position
Dr. Jeffrey Wert & Associates is seeking an outgoing Registered Dental Hygienist to join our fast-paced, patient-centric dental office. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting patient screening procedures, which include assessing oral health conditions, reviewing health history, performing oral cancer screenings, conducting head and neck inspections, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse. You will also be tasked with removing calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth, applying preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides, and teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain their oral health. Additionally, you will counsel patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health, and make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts used by dentists to evaluate treatment needs. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong commitment to patient care, health, and quality work. The ideal candidate will have an associate or advanced degree in Dental Hygiene and hold a state certification/license as required to work as a Dental Hygienist. While one year or more of relevant experience in the dental industry is preferred, we are open to considering candidates with no experience if they demonstrate the right qualities and commitment to patient care.
