About The Position
Part-time position for RDH - Registered Dental Hygienist in Redwood City dental office. Hours are Monday from 10-7 and Thursdays from 7-4. Office utilizes Dentrix and offers great pay. We are a thriving dental practice and are seeking an RDH Dental Hygienist to join our established and dedicated team. We are searching for a part-time or full-time member of our staff. Requirements
- Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
Responsibilities
- Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays
- Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods
- Communicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needs
- Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips) and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients
