About The Position

Key Responsibilities Dental Hygiene & Pediatric Care Perform dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Conduct oral health assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings. Take and review diagnostic dental X-rays. Provide pediatric dental hygiene care using age-appropriate techniques. Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care. Help develop and lead pediatric hygiene workflows. Maintain accurate clinical documentation. Orthodontic & Clinical Support Assist orthodontists during patient care. Prepare treatment rooms and instruments. Take orthodontic X-rays, photos, and scans. Support patient flow and chair turnover. Provide post-treatment instructions. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards. General Responsibilities Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols. Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Collaborate with clinical and front desk teams. Travel between Brooklyn Diamond Braces locations. Stay current on dental hygiene best practices.

Requirements

  • Valid New York State Dental Hygienist license.
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Comfort working in pediatric and orthodontic settings.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between locations.
