About The Position
Permanent Full Time RDH Registered Dental Hygienist position in a Chicago, IL general dental practice. They are looking for Monday to Thursday 8-7, Friday 8-1. Requirements
- Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
Responsibilities
- Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays
- Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods
- Communicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needs
- Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips) and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients
