About The Position

The Registered Dental Hygienist role is responsible for the direct provision of dental hygiene care and appropriate preventive services to patients of the clinic. This position also provides oral health education and instruction to individuals and groups to promote overall oral wellness. MaineHealth is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dental Hygienist to join our dental care team in Brunswick, Maine. This role works collaboratively with dentists and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered dental care while ensuring a positive, respectful experience for every patient we serve. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for delivering comprehensive dental hygiene services, including preventive care, patient education, and support of overall dental treatment plans. This position plays a key role in promoting oral health and disease prevention within the clinic population. This role works closely with staff and volunteer dentists in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate is positive, caring, flexible, well-organized, and willing to pitch in wherever help is needed. We are a free medical and dental clinic serving uninsured adults with low incomes who live in Midcoast Maine. Our small team works closely with medical and dental volunteers to provide care rooted in compassion, respect, dignity, and quality. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene required.
  • Current applicable state(s) license in Dental Hygiene required.
  • Current applicable state(s) Dental Radiographer license required or must receive within three months of hire.
  • One year of clinical experience as a dental hygienist preferred.
