About The Position
My client is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated Dental Hygienist for our busy dental practice. The chosen candidate will promote oral health by performing prophylaxis, periodontal treatment, oral cancer screenings, and take x-rays. The dental hygienist will electronically chart conditions of decay and disease, while performing procedures that are compliant with appropriate dental practices. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care and education regarding their oral health. The ideal candidate will be proactive in their approach, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and informed throughout their visit. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the dental hygienist will be responsible for preparing patients for cleanings by checking for health changes, taking vitals, providing protective eyewear and bibs, and ensuring their comfort. The hygienist will also prepare the treatment room for incoming patients, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that the operatory is stocked with necessary supplies. Patient education is a key component of this role, as the hygienist will provide instructions on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to health regulations is paramount in this position.
