Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required in the state of Texas
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • X-ray certification as required by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
  • At least 1-2 years of dental assisting experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with dental software (experience with [Oryx, if applicable] is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our amazing dentists during various dental procedures, always ensuring utmost patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterilized dental environment by following strict infection control protocols.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring their availability and readiness for procedures.
  • Embrace laboratory duties with enthusiasm, including taking dental impressions, X-rays, and other necessary tasks.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and the significance of maintaining optimal oral health.
  • Provide chairside assistance, proactively anticipating dentists' needs and promoting a seamless workflow.
  • Accurately maintain and update patients' dental records, including comprehensive treatment plans and medical history.
  • Efficiently manage dental supplies and inventory, ensuring proper maintenance and smooth office operations.
  • Uphold and strictly comply with safety protocols, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for both our valued patients and dedicated staff.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with patients, consistently delivering exceptional customer service and attentively addressing their concerns.
  • Stay at the forefront of the latest dental technologies, procedures, and industry trends to provide the highest level of care.
  • Embrace continuous learning and eagerly pursue professional development opportunities to enhance your dental assisting skills.
