This Registered Dental Assistant position is an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. As a Registered Dental Assistant with Northeast Texas Periodontal Specialists, you will be crossed train to support both back and front office within both locations. This position will be covering 2 locations: 3420 Clarksville St. PO Box 6578, Paris Texas 1010 W. Ralph Hall Parkway, Ste 101 Work Schedule: Monday 9am - 4pm Tuesday 9am - 4pm Wednesday 9am - 4pm Thursday 9am - 3pm Friday 8am - 4pm
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year prior Dental Assistant experience required
- Mus have RDA Certification
- X-ray certification where state regulations specify
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
- Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms for the patient's financial responsibility of dental treatment
- Assist patients with understanding their treatment plan and increase dental case acceptance
- Assist with patient check-in, registration, and maintain patient health and dental records with strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices
