This Registered Dental Assistant position is an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. From being the doctor’s right hand, to having the ability to connect with patients, and striving to provide the best patient experience, Dental Assistants are a key contributor to the success of our practice. As a Registered Dental Assistant with Northeast Texas Periodontal Specialists, you will be crossed train to support both back and front office within both locations. This position will be covering 2 locations: 3420 Clarksville St. PO Box 6578, Paris Texas 1010 W. Ralph Hall Parkway, Ste 101 Work Schedule: Monday 9am - 4pm Tuesday 9am - 4pm Wednesday 9am - 4pm Thursday 9am - 3pm Friday 8am - 4pm

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year prior Dental Assistant experience required
  • Mus have RDA Certification
  • X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
  • Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
  • Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms for the patient's financial responsibility of dental treatment
  • Assist patients with understanding their treatment plan and increase dental case acceptance
  • Assist with patient check-in, registration, and maintain patient health and dental records with strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices
