About The Position
We are looking for a Part-Time (Thursdays' only) Registered Dental Assistant to provide support in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the provider, ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Basic internet and computer navigation skills
- Ability to perform data entry efficiently (10-key preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- Additional certifications or training are a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding
- Set up and organize instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures
- Sterilize instruments in accordance with safety and infection control guidelines
- Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Perform basic laboratory tasks as directed
- Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked dental operatory
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic flow
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment processes
