Duties and responsibilities Support dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, handling patient needs, and sanitization of instruments and materials. Assist and perform dental procedures under direct supervision. Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist chairside with procedures Take x-rays and review patient health history Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and post exam instructions. Document dental care services by charting in patient records. Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols Clinical tray set up Sterilization of room, equipment and instruments Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges Maintain inventory of dental supplies Work as part of an integrated care team Uses popular software, including medical database, scheduling, and telemedicine software. Follows all guidelines, regulations, and standards. Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.
