Requirements

  • 2 years work experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required.
  • New Jersey Dental Radiology license required.
  • CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the clinical treatment care of patients.
  • Ensure patient comfort and assist in educating patients on dental procedures.
  • Maintain clinic schedule while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Organize and maintain surgical instruments and lab equipment.
  • Schedule patients appropriately and confirm appointments including referrals and treatment plans.
  • Perform complete check-in functions for each patient.
  • Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
  • Position instruments for dentist's access and assist with suctioning and passing instruments.
  • Obtain radiographic imaging as requested by the provider.
  • Assist in patient recovery following IV sedation.
