About The Position

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Requirements

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification
• Coronal Polish Certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts and treatment plans with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Takes IO's
• Charts
• Applies sealants, if applicable
