About The Position

We are looking for a RN Charge Nurse who will lead our team on the 3rd Floor Medical Unit. This position requires a clinically competent, registered professional nurse who coordinates personnel, unit activities, and patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN Charge Nurse will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing for the age groups served. The role demands leadership ability and serves as a role model for clinical practice.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Completed one year's employment at SMC with satisfactory performance evaluation, or two years previous experience.
• Able and willing to take the role of charge nurse or relief charge nurse.
• Current CPR card or completion within 30 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification or completion within 1 year of employment.
• Current PALS certification or completion within 1 year of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
