About The Position

This position is for an extremely busy Cardiac ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY office in Davie, FL. Candidates should have a keen interest in Cardiology and want to gain clinical experience in cardiac electrophysiology management from a prominent Electrophysiologist. MUST BE PROFICIENT WITH ECLINICAL WORKS

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant , in a medical office setting:
  • You have completed an accredited medical assisting (MA) program
  • You have passed the MA certification exam
  • You have obtained a Medical Assistant Florida state license
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking is a MUST.
  • Demonstrate consistency (e.g., showing up regularly, performing at the highest level repeatedly)
  • Initiative (taking action without being told)
  • Perseverance (pushing through challenges)
  • Demonstrate effective / professional communication skills while being polite and efficient with patients, providers, management, and office team

  • 1-to 5-years experience as a medical assistant in a medical office setting
  • Provide 3 professional references
  • Must agree to drug testing, background checks, and LIVESCAN
  • You are a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant with current Florida credentials
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Davie, FL 33328 Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy skills a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Front and Back office duties
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique: Position may require surgical assisting for minor procedures
  • Screening and consenting research study patients
  • Consenting patients for remote monitoring of pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders
  • Perform EKG's
  • Hook up and/or order HOLTER/CEM/MCOT heart monitors
  • Obtain vitals
  • Refill prescriptions
  • Obtaining/maintaining patient medical records
  • Knowledge/implementation of HIPAA compliance
  • Updating patient files
  • Prepare charts for patient appointments, (proper documentation will include, procedures performed, medical history, medications, allergies, medication reconciliation, etc.)
  • Insurance verification, obtaining referrals/authorizations for appointments, cardiac monitors, and RX’s
  • Check-in/Check-Out patients
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Answering multi-line phone system, helping patients with cardiac medical questions
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (esp. cardiology)
  • Ability to manage HIPPA and OSHA documentation.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
