The role also includes precepting new employees and maintaining inventory and charges appropriately for procedures. Participation in call coverage is required.

Requirements

• BLS Basic Life Support (required)
• Advanced cardiac life support by end of orientation period (required)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (required)
• PALS (required if pediatric lab)
• High School Diploma (required)

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in performance of all cardiovascular procedures, demonstrating competency in all positions (scrub, monitor, and float).
• Analyze and interpret collected procedural data.
• Provide effective patient care at all acuity levels.
• Assist in precepting new employees and students to the department’s organization and function.
• Maintain inventory and charge appropriately for procedures.
• Perform all procedures per protocol and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs as requested.
• Participate equitably in call coverage.
