Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Imaging
About The Position
Overview Monday - Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification is required. Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE: Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Doppler exams with bubble study, contrast as well as limited studies for cardiac function, effusion assessment and thrombus assessment. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification. Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer preferred. Business Unit : Company Name Piedmont Fayette Hospital
