About The Position

Every day as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will: Work with children on a 1:1 basis in a school environment Ensure the safety and supervision of the children Provide interventions to children with emotional support and behavioral health needs in a school setting Deescalate and mitigate behaviors The Brandywine School located in West Chester, PA offers education curriculum to children functioning at all grade levels. A multi-sensory educational strategy is used at all schools, employing traditional instruction, hands-on and independent learning, as well as technology, to individualize a student’s progress in all academic areas, particularly math and reading. The transition from school to career, and all of the necessary interrelated skills, are a main focus of the school program. Devereux’s approved private schools offer high quality, innovative special education programs that work in tandem with families and school districts to ensure that students can return to their local schools and communities with the tools they will need to succeed. Children and young adults may come to Devereux as a day student, or as a part of residential treatment. Each student has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), which outlines goals for skill development and the best strategies by which the student can reach his/her goals. Requirements

Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents preferred.
Requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Work with children on a 1:1 basis in a school environment
Ensure the safety and supervision of the children
Provide interventions to children with emotional support and behavioral health needs in a school setting

Benefits

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52-week year long position)
New Pay rate: $24.00- $27.36/hr (based upon experience)
