The RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) provides observation, coaching, modeling and training, on a referral basis, to school teams who request support with individual students who exhibit behaviors that interfere with their learning or the learning of others. Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary Behavior Team and partner with building-based school social workers and school psychologists, special educators, school administrators, paraprofessionals and other central office staff in the development and implementation of data-driven, evidence-based positive behavior interventions and supports. The goal of these supports is to develop adults’ prevention, intervention and reinforcement skills to promote students’ positive behaviors. Works under the guidance of someone who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
