About The Position

The RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) provides observation, coaching, modeling and training, on a referral basis, to school teams who request support with individual students who exhibit behaviors that interfere with their learning or the learning of others. Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary Behavior Team and partner with building-based school social workers and school psychologists, special educators, school administrators, paraprofessionals and other central office staff in the development and implementation of data-driven, evidence-based positive behavior interventions and supports. The goal of these supports is to develop adults’ prevention, intervention and reinforcement skills to promote students’ positive behaviors. Works under the guidance of someone who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Requirements

  • Have a High School Diploma / GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Behavior (ABA), Special Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field, OR 1 - 3 years of related experience.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is required.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coach building staff in evaluating, implementing, and monitoring specially designed instruction based on evidence-based behavioral interventions and accommodations.
  • Deliver direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to support students with disabilities requiring ABA as part of their IEP or 504 plan.
  • Implement district-based data collection systems.
  • Attend relevant in-service training and required meetings.
