About The Position

Generous RBT hourly pay rate of $30 per hour. Location: Boyertown Area School District (BASD). A Registered Behavior Technician RBT is a paraprofessional who can work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs including students who require daily implementation of a crisis management plan; require complex verbal behavior programming; and/or extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis. The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support. The RBT practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA. To be successful in this role, you must meet all of the following expectations: School-based cases, must have availability to work Monday through Friday following the academic calendar year. General school hours approximately: 7:30am - 2:30pm (secondary) or 8:30am - 3:30pm (elementary). Maintain RBT certification as mandated by the BACB. Current certification in both CPR/First Aid and Safety Care Training (De-escalation, and Escorts & Restraints).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • National certification as an RBT - active.
  • Completed 40 hours of RBT training under Edition Task List 2 (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working directly with individuals with special needs (preferred).
  • Current PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance.
  • Current PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance.
  • Current PA Department of Education FBI Clearance - Use code 1KG6XN.
  • Current TB Screening within 3 months.
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs.
  • Implement crisis management plans for students.
  • Conduct complex verbal behavior programming.
  • Perform extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis.
  • Provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support.
  • Maintain RBT certification as mandated by the BACB.
  • Work under the close supervision of a BCBA.
