RESPONSIBILITIES: - The day-to-day execution, and support of a behavioral plan, can include things like working directly with individual students or small groups, conducting follow-ups, and collecting data. Follow the BIP (the behavior intervention plan) of students in special education. - Collect, record, and summarize data of observable behaviors. - Interact and intervene directly with students who may be experiencing behavioral struggles. - Communicate with school staff and families regularly regarding student’s progress or needs. - Maintain students’ confidentiality. - Assist the BCBA with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments. - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. - Support students with behavioral needs in the educational environment to foster learning. WORKING CONDITIONS: - Maintain emotional control under stress. - Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job. - Regular District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying. - May be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchairs or assist with positioning students with physical disabilities. - Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment - Strong family engagement and communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • RBT Certification
  • A valid Texas driver’s license
  • Accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skills sets accordingly.
  • Possess effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Adhere to school and/or organizational policies and procedures.
