About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - PT is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming with clients at Westside Children’s Therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Providing predominantly play-based therapy, the RBT will support Westside clients in the development of a wide variety of skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active RBT certification required within 60 days of hire
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence with a variety of computer applications
  • Comfortable persona to better develop relationships with children and their families
  • Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as a team
  • Passion for working with children with special needs
  • Patient with the ability to redirect clients frequently and compassionately
  • Accountable for personal behavior and performance
  • Receptive to feedback with a commitment to personal and professional development
  • Consistency and reliability to ensure continuity of care
  • Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessions
  • Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapy

Responsibilities

  • Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBA
  • Engage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedback
  • Collect and record data on patients behavior
  • Complete and submit required documentation (SOAP notes, etc) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with the children on your caseload and strive to make every session a fun experience
