About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The RBT provides direct 1:1 home-based and clinical therapy to children with autism or other developmental or intellectual disabilities. The RBT will be responsible for skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver quality therapeutic service to each child. The RBT records and maintains data collected during a session. The RBT effectively communicates with supervisor and parents/caregivers while preserving confidentiality. The RBT works a flexible schedule that includes evening appointments. Supervision by a BCBA will be provided. . Provide direct behavior therapy to young children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder in home, school and/or clinical setting Implement, under the supervision of a BCBA, behavioral interventions based on client’s needs and current research Provide appropriate feedback to parents and/or teachers under the direction of the supervising BCBA Work in a team to facilitate optimal care and exceptional outcomes for patients PHYSICAL FACTORS: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.) Requirements

  • At least 18 years old and have, at minimum, completed high school national equivalent.
  • Must maintain the RBT Certification annual requirements set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The requirements include ongoing supervision and complying with the BACB’s RBT Ethics Code.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be CPR certified.
  • Comply with the RBT Ethics Code.
  • Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and child development.
  • Experience implementing positive behavior support plans and programs written by the BCBA.
  • Knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behavior analysis and discrete trail training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patient, parents and professionals.
  • Basic computer skills and be able to use all required software.
  • Respect for cultural diversity and capability of adapting ABA procedures to that diversity.
  • Maintain 75% billable productivity.
