About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a behavior technician to provide behavioral services for a school in St. Lucie, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with the school administration to provide services to students for the exceptional student department, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Related experience in the field of behavior modification or intervention preferred. Ability to follow instructions. Willingness to participate in county behavioral training within 90 days of employment. Ability to perform the functions of the position. Successful completion of a Physical Capacity Test specific to the essential functions and measured physical demands of the position. Responsibilities: Utilize foundational Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in classroom settings under the supervision of District Behavior Analysts. Conduct behavioral observations, collect accurate data, and support Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Implement behavior intervention plans, instructional strategies, and social skills programs as directed by classroom teachers and District Behavior Analysts. Maintain required certification in district -approved crisis prevention programs and properly document and implement approved physical management procedures when necessary. Assist in the implementation of schoolwide positive behavior supports and individual classroom management systems. Maintain professional relationships within the school environment, complete required annual training, perform duties efficiently and with high quality. Any other duties as assigned.
