About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is an instructor certified in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor/BCBA who are responsible for all work RBTs perform. A RBT works directly with the learner, makes observations and accurately documents the observations on data sheets. This is a highly collaborative position as the RBT regularly communicates with all team members regarding the learners’ programming.

Requirements

  • Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Experience working with children and /or adults in the school, home and/or community settings.
  • (Minimum) Completed high school-level education or equivalent
  • Knowledge of or willingness to complete the CLM Course of Study.
  • Exposure to developmentally delayed individuals either through volunteer work, classroom experience or pain position.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of work performance without daily direct supervision.
  • Accepts feedback and implements suggestions.
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity and flexibility with individuals and how the learning environments are arranged and rearranged.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.
  • Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abided by a code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Work with contracted learners implementing behavioral and instructional ABA based programs as designed by the BCBA.
  • Effectively communication with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA.
  • Assist in group and individual activities with learners to provide instructional and behavioral programs in home, school and community settings.
  • Collaborate with all team members in the implementation of behavioral programming that will promote the development of targeted competencies.
  • Assist in constructing program materials as needed.
  • Record instructional and behavioral data on learners.
  • Attend behavioral team meetings.
  • Follow a weekly work schedule as listed on scheduling software.
  • Drive self to multiple work sites during the work day.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Responds to communication from team members and office personnel in an acceptable time frame.
  • Completes CLM Course of Study units.
  • Interacts with CLM Coach regularly to ensure implementation of behavioral/instructional strategies that are presented in the Course of Study.
