About The Position

The RBT at Elite Spectrum ABA is entrusted with a great deal of responsibility for the care of their patients. They must work within the guidance and oversight of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or RBT Supervisor, to deliver behavior analysis services and techniques to the best of their abilities. It is essential that they work closely with these supervisors to ensure exceptional and optimal patient safety. The RBT must take care to meet all expectations while providing effective services and maintaining a high level of patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations section.
  • Student of an education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician
  • BACB RBT Certification (must be active and in good standing)
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Skills and competencies are demonstrated through assessments and evaluations.
  • Proficiency in English, effective communication, and the ability to work independently are required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement procedures such as continuous and discontinuous measurement. (EF)
  • Collect data on client behaviors electronically. (EF)
  • Describe the behaviors and environments in observable and measurable terms. (EF)
  • Assist in conducting preference and/or functional assessments.
  • Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan. Prepare for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan.
  • Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules). (EF)
  • Utilize discrete-trial teaching methods, and naturalistic teaching strategies such as incidental teaching, task analysis, chaining approaches, and discrimination training. (EF)
  • Carry out stimulus control transfer, prompt and prompt fading, generalization, maintenance, shaping, and token economy processes.
  • Able to identify the key elements of a written behavior plan, as well as the typical roles that behavior plays.
  • Incorporate interventions that are based on adjusting elements such as motivating operations and discerning stimuli. (EF)
  • Put differential reinforcement procedures into effect (e.g., DRA, DRO). (EF)
