About The Position

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) serving a school located in Central Falls, RI. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be responsible for providing behavioral interventions services to students in a school based setting, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred)
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Completion of 40-hour RBT training program
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Experience working with children or individuals with autism or behavioral needs preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children or individuals with autism or behavioral needs preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Deliver instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and support.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress to inform ongoing instruction and planning.
  • Create a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and learning.
  • Provide guidance and support to classroom staff in implementing educational strategies for students with special needs.
