About The Position

The Creekside School is offering an internal opportunity for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This role is designed for team members seeking to grow within The School and enhance their impact on students with severe to profound needs. As a specialized, nonpublic school, Creekside serves students on the autism spectrum who require extensive behavioral, academic, and social-emotional support. The work environment is highly collaborative, structured, and emphasizes consistency and care. In this position, the RBT will collaborate closely with Special Educators, BCBAs, and Related Service Providers to implement individualized education and behavior programs. It is a hands-on role where consistency, teamwork, and strong student relationships are paramount.

Requirements

  • Current team members with experience supporting our student population
  • Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and data collection practices
  • Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional in high-intensity situations
  • Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
  • Commitment to student-centered, structured learning environments
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with severe developmental needs
  • Experience implementing behavior plans and collecting data

Nice To Haves

  • RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience working with individuals with severe developmental needs

Responsibilities

  • Implement IEP goals, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and individualized student programs with fidelity
  • Collect and track accurate behavioral and academic data throughout the day
  • Support student development in communication, social-emotional skills, and independence
  • Utilize evidence-based behavioral strategies aligned with student needs
  • Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in trainings and student meetings
  • Support community-based instruction and student outings when needed
