Our Nevada Active Consulting team in Las Vegas, NV is currently recruiting for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to coach and train on skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans with family members, caregivers and agency staff, such as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). The RBT will help families and providers build capacity by training them on data collection, certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments), and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans. Qualified candidates must reside in or near Las Vegas, NV. Schedule: This position is not a traditional Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm role. Candidates must have flexible availability, as we provide 24/7 on-demand crisis support.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Registered Behavior Tech (RBT) Certificate required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a human or social services related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face or virtual coaching and training to DSP staff of IDD/BH providers.
  • Help develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support Plans, including data collection and fidelity checks.
  • Ensure DSPs have the necessary materials for behavior plan implementation.
  • Present graphical summaries of BSP effectiveness in meetings.
  • Model positive behavioral supports and respond to emergencies as trained.
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments as assigned.
  • Share assessment results and best practice recommendations in meetings.
  • Provide crisis de-escalation support as needed.
  • Complete documentation on time.
  • Meet all BACB supervisory requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with the Director and team about support activities.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the supervisor.
  • Follow all health, safety, and confidentiality standards.
  • Assist with crisis de-escalation and afterhours support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
