Requirements

  • Must have an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral disorders is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a behavioral health setting
  • Ability to follow structured treatment plans and accurately collect behavioral data
  • Passion for helping individuals develop essential life skills and reach their full potential
  • In accordance with Florida state law, employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a Level 2 background screening as required by Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This screening includes fingerprinting and a review of criminal history records and may also involve checks of abuse and neglect registries. Any employment offer is conditional pending the results of this background check. Failure to pass the background screening, as determined by applicable laws and agency policies, will result in disqualification from employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one behavioral therapy to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Reinforce positive behaviors using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and evidence-based interventions.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and independent living skills.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to track progress and help adjust treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support for individuals receiving care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with behavioral health regulations.
