About The Position

Join forces with a great team of Speech Therapists with excellent BCBA oversight. This position is available for full-time hours at our North Charlotte clinic. KidSpeak Speech and Language Services, Inc. is a pediatric private practice located in Charlotte, NC. Since 2001, we have strived to provide the bridge that takes skills learned in therapy into everyday activities. We recognize that the best therapy occurs when the latest research and technology is integrated with all aspects of a child’s development while recognizing each child’s individuality in how they interact with the world that surrounds them.

Requirements

  • RBT designation required within 90 days of employment
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • MUST have excellent attendance
  • Certificate, Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a behavioral health or related field (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Able to provide consistent attention and care for the client, up to 2 hour long sessions
  • Ability to sustain long periods of sitting or standing
  • Excellent communications skills to effectively interact with patients
  • Ability to bend, squat, lift, and lower a minimum of 20 pounds (must be able to lift and carry clients)
  • Must be able to have flexible scheduling
  • Ability to communicate with your team through phone and email in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual treatment for individuals aged up to 21 years old.
  • Implement learning programs under the supervision of a BCBA and collect data on target behaviors
  • Deliver skills instruction to clients based upon the principles of applied behavior analysis.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to evaluate and modify the behavior of children with special needs.
  • Assist in providing training and guidance to parents, and other caregivers to help children overcome problems with communication, social skills, attention, or sensory integration.
  • Communicate with therapists and other professionals on the child's progress.
  • Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner
