About The Position

Crossroads ABA Center seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a new program! This is an in-office, part-time position, and schedule is to be determined, but will be between the hours of 9am-5pm. The RBT provides direct one-on-one and small-group therapy to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in a center-based environment. Under the supervision of a BCBA, the RBT implements individualized treatment plans to promote communication, social, play, and adaptive skills while reducing challenging behaviors using the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred)
Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activity throughout the day
Reliable, punctual, and compassionate demeanor

Nice To Haves

RBT certification preferred (organization may provide training and supervision for certification)

Responsibilities

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as designed by the supervising BCBA
Collect accurate and consistent data on target behaviors and skill goals during each therapy session
Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning and independence
Assist with daily routines including transitions, toileting, meals, and playtime as appropriate
Collaborate with the clinical team to review progress and make recommendations for program adjustments
Follow all ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB and organizational policies
