About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position involves providing 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism, aged 2-16 years, in a clinic-based environment. The role is supported by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and focuses on implementing behavior reduction strategies and treatment plans in a collaborative team setting. RBTs are responsible for maintaining therapeutic relationships, recording client data, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for clients.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician License (RBT).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience with ABA software for data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in a clinic-based environment.
  • Accept and incorporate corrective feedback from supervising BCBAs and supervisors.
  • Follow and implement treatment plans and recommendations from supervising BCBAs.
  • Use software for client session data recording and manage timesheets.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Incorporate Natural Environment Teaching during sessions.
  • Increase safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers.
  • Fade prompts to promote successful and independent responding.
  • Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for clients at all times.
  • Create and implement strategies to reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Provide behavior support, including physical management, with training provided.
  • Learn and develop ABA techniques under the direction of Supervisory RBTs and BCBAs.
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with families and coworkers while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Assist in training new hires in ABA therapy and data collection.
  • Attend professional development, trainings, and staff meetings.
  • Participate in weekly supervision meetings with supervisors.
