Requirements

  • A minimum of a HS Diploma, bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field such as Education or Speech Therapy is preferred.
  • RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification is required.
  • If the applicant does not have a bachelor’s degree, it is preferred they have at least two years of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis and appropriate qualifications.
  • BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Crisis Management training (e.g., Safety Care) certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted and effectively maintain close proximity to clients at all times (e.g., run after a client if needed to maintain no more than three feet proximity).
  • Must be able to travel to different locations within the Colorado Springs area.

Responsibilities

  • Travel across the region to provide exceptional clinical services to clients and their families in multiple clinics to ensure optimal progress.
  • The RBT Floater is responsible for providing as-needed coverage to our Clinical teams. The purpose of this role is to reduce clinical session cancellations.
  • Demonstrate high treatment integrity across all programming implementations, including both skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.
  • Demonstrate high treatment integrity scores (i.e., >90%)
  • Demonstrate accurate data collection, including Inter Observer Agreement (IOA)
  • Ensure client documents and materials are organized, accessible, and in compliance with expectations
  • Focus on collaboration and communication with ABA team members and other Interdisciplinary service providers, to ensure the mastery, generalization, and maintenance of skills.
  • Respond appropriately to feedback as indicated in the RBT competency assessment and apply feedback in a timely manner to continually provide exceptional services to clients.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and professional interpersonal skills to facilitate effective therapeutic rapport with families and a team-oriented model with other service providers and team members.
  • Complete all clinical documentation correctly and in a timely manner to facilitate effective client care.
  • Conduct skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments under the supervision of the BCBA’s.
  • Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, BCBA, Lead Behavior Technicians, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions and meetings.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork to problem solve potential barriers and maximize the services provided to clients.
  • Flexibility in changing scheduled clients and/or location of services to effectively support client services.
  • Complete all entries and convert in the system in a timely and effective manner; by the end of the business day or communicate potential modifications.
  • Complete all clinical documentation and data collection accurately.
