Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT)
About The Position
Therapy & Beyond, a BCBA-owned ABA organization, is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide one-on-one, play-based, ABA therapy services to pediatric and adolescent patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This role involves working under the supervision of a BCBA to follow Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and help patients develop communication, motor skills, academic readiness, social skills, and independence. The company encourages both entry-level candidates and experienced RBTs to apply and offers support through the RBT certification process. Immediate full-time positions are available, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Have a completed High School Diploma or GED
- Someone passionate about helping families with autism thrive!
- Graduates (or a degree in progress) within the field of: Psychology, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Child Development, Social Work & Counseling
- Someone that is dependable, creative, innovative, and energetic!
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the following fields: paraprofessionals, nannies, babysitters, caregivers, teachers or Montessori guides, coaches, tutors, camp counselors
Responsibilities
- Facilitate 1:1, naturalistic therapy services within a clinic-based environment
- Track patient progress over time by collecting data and submitting clinical documentation
- Following behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as outlined by your BCBA Supervisor
- Communicate professionally and consistently with clinical management and families
- Assist patients with daily living skills such as feeding and toileting
- Adhere to patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines
- Provide behavioral support within speech or occupational therapy sessions
- Obtain RBT Certification within your first 60 days of employment
