The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for providing individual treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other behavioral and social/communication challenges using Applied Behavior Analysis principles. This role involves implementing learning programs under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, ensuring that clients receive personalized and effective support.

  • Provide individualized services in a 1:1 teaching format.
  • Apply and implement behavior analytical techniques to increase communication, self-help, and social skills under supervision.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to enhance appropriate behaviors.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of instructional materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of client performance and progress through data collection.
  • Manage inappropriate behaviors as they occur during sessions.
  • Keep clients motivated to learn through preference assessments.
  • Communicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond appropriately to feedback and report concerns to the supervising BCBA.
  • Perform toilet training and diaper changing as required.
  • RBT Certification required (must obtain within the first 90 days if not certified upon hire).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 18 years of age to apply.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Ability to pass a state criminal check, FBI fingerprint check, and drug screen.
  • Knowledge of modern technology (PC, Mac, iPad, or other tablets).
