The purpose of this position is to implement, train and supervise the adherence to all internal policies related to store devices and cash management. The role supports overall functions of technology as it relates to people, product and process. This includes staying current and up to date on any process changes and communication of it to the overall team. Maintaining strong product awareness in order to drive solutions through technology. The position works in close collaboration with the Head of Store Operations to identify and develop potential talent.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for all staff members in store for all technology related queries
  • Assist store team with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
  • Help managers with technical part of applications usage (installation, maintenance)
  • Organize and implement all new store device applications and updates (cooperation with IT, staff training)
  • Verify functionality of hardware and software components (POS, iPod, iPad, RFID devices etc.)
  • Report all device technical issues to respective department and follow up on the status
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (cooperation with IT department)
  • Detection and prevention of possible major issues that may affect the business
  • Software development and testing. Report glitches, propose better options for the systems and processes
  • Implement and follow up on devices control system (stock inventories, control of device conditions)
  • Ensure compliance of device procedures
  • Supervise the cash desk team and schedules to ensure proper functioning of the section and to achieve productivity levels
  • Manage the recruitment of new register team members
  • Monitor and record register discrepancies and report them to the relevant department
  • Provide register reports to managers
  • Troubleshoot register issues
  • Supervise operational part of cash desk tasks (lines, product returns, Eticket, Return flow)
  • Ensure security measures are taken and that cashiers are up to date with any changes
  • Ensure effective communication with the Management Team
  • Complete other tasks as necessary to support the overall store
  • Comply with the Company policies and procedures
  • Train the store staff (associates & cashiers) on device functionalities and follow up to ensure that all staff members are fully trained
  • Fully train and develop all cashiers (and cross trainers) and follow up their performance
  • Ensure proper training for all new hires
  • Spot talent in the store and use the company tools to assess and develop potential
  • Follow up and support the store management team in the performance management of the cashier team
  • Support the AMT team with projects implementation and any training initiatives at country level
