About The Position

Regional Wealth Managers plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of Wealth Management Teams across multiple markets and geographies, including profitability and sales; creating an atmosphere of integrity, professionalism, quality and exceptional client service. This role is responsible for the growth and development of assigned markets, improving line of business profitability, providing accurate and superior client service and for cultivating and coordinating referral business with other lines of business within the bank. The Regional Wealth Manager serves as a liaison between segments of Wealth Management to ensure the company's strategic goals and initiatives are met and/or exceeded.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with a concentration in business, finance or related field.
  • 10 years of related experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management.
  • 7 years of management experience.
  • Advanced communication, presentation and training skills.
  • Advanced client service, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
  • Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS).
  • 10 years’ management experience.
  • Series 24 license.
  • Series 7 license.
  • Series 66 or Series 65 and Series 63 licenses.
  • Life and Health licenses for the state(s) where business is conducted.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multidisciplinary wealth teams across multiple markets and geographies throughout the bank's footprint, which may include Private Bankers, Trust Relationship Managers, Wealth Advisors, Senior Investment Consultants and Administrators.
  • Establishes sales goals and strategies, and assesses unit’s performance against set goals.
  • Develops systems and tools to monitor actual results against goals.
  • Responsible for modeling, promoting and implementing One Wealth model within assigned Wealth Teams across multiple markets.
  • Accountable for maintaining corporate standards for regulatory compliance, risk management policies and internal financial and operational controls for all activities related to Wealth Management.
  • Establishes financial controls and assists with the development of market and regional financial forecasts and budgets accordingly.
  • Implements competitive benchmarking standards and bank’s wealth management target operating model.
  • Develops centers of influence, and participates in community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
  • Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations.
  • Provides advice and guidance to team members and ensures that the actions of all team members adhere to organizational policy.
  • Meets with Wealth Management clients and potential clients as needed for new business development and to help region achieve goals.
  • May have supervisory responsibilities over other Regional Wealth Managers.
  • May have supervisory responsibilities of staff positions within Asset Management, assist in establishing an appropriate investment strategy for clients and evaluate and effectively communicates current economic and market conditions.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of a team of associates.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains associates.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work.
  • Appraises performance.
  • Rewards associates and enforces policy and procedure.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
