About The Position

The Regional Vice President, Benefits Compliance at NFP Corp is responsible for providing expert guidance on compliance with various laws applicable to health and welfare plans. This role involves working closely with employee benefit consultants and clients to ensure adherence to regulations such as ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, and HIPAA. The position requires strong communication skills to explain complex compliance issues in layman's terms and involves conducting compliance reviews, seminars, and internal training.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in employee benefits and/or compliance.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health and welfare plans.
• Excellent presentation skills and clear communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding work performed.

Nice To Haves

• Brokerage/consultant account management experience preferred.
• Law degree not required, but attorneys will be considered.
• CEBS designation (or equivalent industry experience) a plus.
• Prior experience with federal or state governmental regulatory body a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to benefits compliance questions in a timely manner.
• Perform compliance checklist reviews for key and national account clients.
• Conduct benefits compliance seminars and webinars.
• Stay abreast of the changing legislative and regulatory landscape.
• Attend internal Benefits Compliance Team meetings regularly.
• Own or co-own regional compliance initiatives in conjunction with regional sales and account management leaders.
• Attend regular client meetings as part of the account management team.
• Communicate and educate account teams on compliance initiatives and resources.
