The Regional Vice President of the Southwest Region is familiar with the Texas/Dallas-Fort Worth markets and possesses exceptional employee relations and management skills. They are successful and results-driven, and are willing and able to take full P&L responsibility for the regional operations. With an anticipated expansion, the individual must be able to onboard and oversee new properties in their region. Ten plus years of multi-site apartment management across a portfolio of properties with various unit sizes is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field and/or ten plus years multifamily experience
  • Property Management Certification (regional manager level/multiple properties)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to read and analyze P&L and other financial statements
  • Strategic mindset with excellent judgment calls

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting includes expense budgeting, overall revenue forecast to include salaries, marketing, and maintenance expenses
  • Implementing and enforcing company policy and procedures
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing practices, laws, and ensuring agency guidelines are followed
  • Analyzing market conditions, occupancy trends, and competitive pricing with the ability to adjust and implement new market rents, renewal rates, retention programs, and leasing incentives
  • Oversee all assigned regional managers and manage the day-to-day operations of the portfolios.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead a management team
  • Design and implement a plan of action to improve/maximize the performance of the properties in the portfolio
  • Conduct regular site visits, advise, guide, and coach regional managers and site-level associates to achieve outstanding results
  • Attend and participate in agency inspections and ownership/investor meetings
  • Maintain a strong rapport with vendors, managers, and employees
  • Assist with new acquisitions
  • Organize and implement an effective plan of action for property take over
