About The Position

The Regional Vice President of Sales-West Region, will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the West Region’s sales team to obtain the maximum profitable sales for Commercial and Industrial products in the assigned region.   The RVP will also ensure active communication and coordination with the product business units and support functions (such as customer service and pricing), to assure that the Hubbell product portfolio and resources are properly aligned for success, and that the sales team’s actions are geared toward bringing significant and visible value to the entire organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales, Marketing, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with at least 15 years of experience in driving sales growth (required)
  • Prior experience managing >$100M in revenue scale.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills (required)
  • 10 years managing remote salespeople
  • 10 years experience selling electrical distributors
  • 3 years experince selling through rep agencies 
  • Excellent analytical abilities and strategic thinking
  • In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, market analysis, and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive teams to meet and exceed goals
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to follow through
  • Excel at working under pressure and willing to switch gears quickly

Responsibilities

  • Provide input on forecast & drive Salesforce.com adoption
  • Support HES Business Development Market Initiatives & Cross Selling
  • Drive distribution conversions
  • Maximize price to drive Operating Profit
  • Support HES Contractor initiative
  • Supervises recruitment and hiring of all sales personnel within the assigned geography
  • Supervises the performance appraisal process and career path development of all sales personnel and conducts these sessions with Sales Managers.
  • Responsible for the administration of sales quotas and performance to quota for all territories and districts 
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key distributor personnel and large customers to further the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for managing the company’s channels to market within the assigned geography
  • Manage all activities for Regional NAED meetings, identifying and inviting targeted regional distributor personnel to functions at the National NAED being held in other regions.
  • Responsible for implementation of programs and divisional plan objectives for the product line and ensuring distributors, compliance with the requirements of their program status.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of an annual marketing plan, including the administration of operating budgets, to meet divisional objectives.
  • Supervises the implementation of HES sales policies and procedures and product/sales training programs.
  • Supervises the communication of available services to distributors including advertising & sales promotion, credit, product applications, target accounts, marketing allowance monies and rules of use.
  • Responsible for responding to all requests from HES headquarters including, but not limited to, quarterly reports, key distributor and end user activities, program status changes, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining relevant records including, but not limited to, equipment lists, recent expense summaries, time utilization, and field reports.
  • Participates in a formalized method for evaluating agent performance and holding agents accountable for meeting / exceeding revenue objectives.
