About The Position

The Regional Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management at US Anesthesia Partners, Inc. is a key executive role responsible for overseeing the operations of the Revenue Cycle Management team. This position is crucial for driving business outcomes and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction within a dynamic healthcare environment. The VP RCM will lead a team focused on optimizing cash flow through effective billing operations, compliance, and collaboration with various departments to support the company's growth objectives.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or Accounting is required.
  • A master's degree is desirable.
  • At least 10 years of progressive management experience in a healthcare revenue cycle services entity.
  • Minimum of five years' healthcare management experience in a multi-unit integrated anesthesia care system or similar.
  • At least three years' anesthesia practice management experience with a large anesthesia group.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing a 100+ employee team of healthcare billers and collectors.
  • Intimate familiarity with healthcare billing system software, preferably athenaIDX.
  • Significant transformation and information technology experience in a high-volume processing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and support training of the management team on billing operations including insurance verification, claims submission, and revenue recovery.
  • Supervise director-level staff within Charge Entry and Accounts Receivable, managing over 180 FTEs in Texas RCM Operations.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, and clinical operations to ensure alignment of processes and business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain reporting of key performance indicators such as DSO and on-hold A/R.
  • Analyze and manage net receivables balances and processes to detect changes in payor behavior.
  • Maintain expertise in coding (CPT and ICD-9/CD-10) and healthcare billing laws.
  • Develop relationships with physician leadership to enhance revenue cycle management processes.
  • Engage with Operations teams to ensure efficient billing and collection for anesthesia encounters.
