About The Position

The Regional Vice President – External Wholesaler will develop and manage consultative relationships with existing National, Regional, and Insurance Broker Dealer advisors within the territory of: TX, OK, AR, LA, MS. This role involves assessing and identifying the needs of advisor clients to promote new products, developing new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share, and educating and training advisors on 1290 Funds and models. The candidate will be responsible for territory management, utilizing the internal sales desk to assist in managing territory, and working collaboratively with the Internal Wholesaler. The position requires the use of Salesforce (CRM) to log activity, maintain pipeline, and analyze opportunities. The candidate must be able to identify, create, and implement investment sales opportunities to attain stated sales goals, and will communicate with the National Sales Manager on an ongoing basis. Additionally, the candidate will manage a budget and timely expense reporting, and travel is required 75% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • FINRA 6 and 63 OR 7 required.
  • Knowledge of Mutual Funds and Investment products - previous direct sales experience required.
  • Demonstrated communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Proven computer, mobile device and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
  • Must be located within the territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in local area market preferred.
  • CIMA, CFA a plus.
