About The Position
This position is out of Troy, AL. area. The Regional Truck Driver will drive and transport goods to our customers or company locations while following DOT and company safety guidelines. The driver will be required to secure loads with provided straps and binders to ensure the product reaches the destination intact and damage-free. The role involves protecting products by climbing onto the load using provided safety equipment and unrolling, spreading, and securing tarps. The driver must keep and maintain ELDs and safety records, drive in a safe, courteous, and timely manner to ensure all appointment times are met, and will be required to drive regionally with frequent overnight stays in the truck sleeper unit. The driver will also be responsible for picking up and delivering backhauls when requested by dispatch or management, keeping the truck and trailer clean and maintained, and maintaining good communication with dispatch and management at all times. As a representative of Rex Transportation, the driver must always act in a safe and courteous manner at company mills and customer locations, following all rules and regulations provided by company mills and/or customers.
