About The Position
As a Regional Training Consultant - Health Insurance Advisor 1 (HIA-1) with the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) program, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Washington residents by providing expert guidance on healthcare coverage options, including Medicare. You'll work closely with a team of passionate professionals to train, mentor, and support SHIBA volunteers and Volunteer Coordinators across the state. Your role will involve conducting essential training sessions, offering technical assistance on complex cases, and delivering engaging public education initiatives to help individuals and families make informed healthcare decisions. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers the chance to influence and improve the way healthcare coverage is delivered throughout Washington. By fostering partnerships with both public and private entities, you will play a key role in expanding SHIBA's reach and impact. Additionally, you will have the autonomy to utilize your expertise in Medicare and healthcare systems to guide volunteers, monitor program performance, and contribute to innovative solutions.
