About The Position

We are currently looking for a Regional Technician to be responsible for propane delivery, field service work, asset refurbishment, asset movement and other special project support within the Region. This position requires frequent travel to our Customer Service Centers located throughout the Midwest Region, which comprises of IL, IN, KY, MI, OH, PA, and WI.

Requirements

  • To operate our company vehicles, you must have a minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements as well as a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce.
  • Don’t have a CDL yet? No problem, we will give you time and training to help you get one.
  • Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 lbs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be able to satisfy the English Language Proficiency qualification requirements in 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2) by responding to official inquiries and understanding highway traffic signs and signals in the English language. This includes the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver fuel as required, following all proper loading and unloading procedures.
  • Install, repair, and maintain propane tanks and cylinders, including outside and inside gas lines, conduct system testing, inspections, and basic leak repairs.
  • Purge propane cylinders and tanks, fill storage containers, and recertify portable propane cylinders.
  • Refurbish and relocate existing equipment for deployment within the Region.
  • Support special installation projects, as well as maintenance work at field bulk plants and office facilities.
  • Lead training sessions for personnel across multiple regional locations.
  • Participate in various delivery and service-related projects as assigned.
  • This position requires the ability to travel extensively throughout the region (75%+ travel).
