The Regional System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Hospital and Medical Office security systems and technology integration. This support includes consulting, assisting & tracking master system architecture for local Security Administration teams in order to achieve logical collective implementation. Provide Contractor/Local Security support for programming or bringing systems into operations. Maintain Security System Server Software Licensing. Provide liaison for Local Security and Systems designers and manufactures. Ensure design/construction projects are consistent with industry best practices as well as National Security Standards and National Facilities design Standards, scope, schedule and budgets. Reinforces the direction of Client Systems, and develops relationships with IT, Local Security & Contractors to maintain system efficiencies.

System Planning & Standardization: Assists in the development and facilitate the implementation of the global electronic security system. Development includes concepts, standardization, system topology design, delivery model standards, space allocation, budgeting, installation, and training of staff, operations and maintenance.
New Construction & System Expansion: Provide security program monitoring for new construction and Plant, Maintenance and Renovation (PM&R). Facilitate security consulting and coordination with Facilities, Design and Planning, Security Consultants, IT, as well as quality assurance for the implementation of standards during project management activity.
Product Evaluation: Assists in the evaluation of products, programs and services relating to security systems, or other related interests. Review the viability, cost effectiveness, feature comparison, usability, and deployment ability of each product or service.
IT Interface: Act as an interface to the IT department to ensure the needs of both Security and IT are represented and resolved.
Generate administrative & investigative reports on demand
Run specific audit reports on demand
Assist with Video clip and image recovery when required
Provide technical & troubleshooting support, coordinate problem tracking and resolution
Coordinate with customer IT department to assist with resolution of IT related problems
Maintain a log of outstanding hardware and software issues
Consult technical projects that may have global or interdepartmental impact.
Perform routine User training as well as on request: CCTV, Video, Alarm Monitoring, Dispatch Operations, Access Control Operations Training
Maintain System Standards in regards to:
Naming Conventions
Programming standards
Segmentation
Access Group & Level strategies
Alarm configurations upon request
User permission levels
Hardware Configuration
Perform semi-annual review of system software licensing and facilitate IT Support
Perform licensing audits by comparing existing equipment with licensed devices
Provide programming, configuration, and testing assistance necessary for security technology expansion
Administer Lenel user accounts & permissions
Administer Windows user accounts, permissions, & policies of Security equipment that does not reside within client's domain
Monitor Security Technology health such as hardware functionality & connectivity
Perform and maintain back-ups, assist with disaster recovery
Verify that all correct services are running
Manage database transaction and error logs
Review Lenel error log files
Check platform databases size and integrity
Audit Windows Event logs
Assist with software application and service pack upgrades
Maintain documentation of the security system configuration
Server information
High level passwords & User permission levels
Software versions & license numbers
Equipment configuration & location per Server
Firmware versions
Dates that equipment was put into service, vendor of record, and warranty period
An asset management system shall be used to identify and maintain all system components
Publish Customer specific programming standards & practices
Program systems so that they are consistent with standards and Kaiser best practices
Program all parent and child devices using proper naming conventions so that they system trees are consistent and easy to identify
Program all devices on electronic maps
Program all alarm points that identify with a camera view with links
Program all alarms into priority groups consistent with standards and client's best practices
Color identification for priority segments
Response differentiations with sound or notes
Program each alarm with correct descriptions and response expectations
Set up Alarm Monitoring with views that are operationally correct for the end user
System only events that do not need security officer action should be not be seen (e.g. Door Remote Release Button)
Program and manage all Card Holder ID data and fields so that everyone is unique in the data base.
All Security Technology systems should be online and functional; 98% of systems shall be online
Manage old equipment to be budgeted and replaced when it has reached its End-of-Life
Routine testing shall be done on all systems and facilities
At minimum, annual testing of an entire technology stack.

At least 2 years managing a security access control and video surveillance systems and security systems engineering.
10 years of systems administration experience, with more that 5 years in security systems technology management.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server and Client Operating Systems.
A good understanding of Data Bases (MS SQL)
A good understanding of low voltage security systems networking technologies.
A good understanding of cyber security and experience in remediation of cyber security threats.
Lenel Security Systems certified.
