We are seeking an exceptional, senior instructional leader to serve as Regional Superintendent/Principal, leading a campus while also driving instructional excellence and leader development aligned to Movement’s broader network vision. This role is ideal for a systems-minded instructional leader who believes deeply in equity, excellence, and the power of strong school culture. As Regional Superintendent/Principal, you will serve as the primary instructional and operational leader of the school, while also supporting network-aligned academic initiatives, developing instructional leaders, and modeling Movement’s approach to joyful, high-performing schools.   • Minimum of five (5) years of successful school leadership experience
  • Prior teaching experience
  • Demonstrated, multi-year success improving student outcomes, particularly in underserved communities

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Leadership & Academic Program Management Set and execute a clear vision for teaching, learning, and scholar achievement
  • Use data, classroom observations, and coaching to continuously improve instruction, curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and school culture
  • Ensure high-quality special education programming in partnership with internal and external providers
  • Monitor academic progress and lead targeted interventions to drive continuous improvement School Culture & Community Engagement
  • Foster a positive, safe, joyful, and structured learning environment grounded in high expectations
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with scholars, families, and staff
  • Partner with families to create meaningful home–school connections
  • Serve as the primary ambassador of the school within the community Development of Teachers, Principals, and Instructional Leaders
  • Build, coach, evaluate, and retain a high-performing team of teachers and school leaders
  • Provide frequent, actionable feedback to instructional leaders and teachers
  • Plan and lead summer and school-year professional development aligned to Movement’s instructional priorities
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard teachers and school-based staff
  • Contribute to the development of Movement’s future leadership pipeline by mentoring emerging leaders Network-Aligned Leadership & Superintendent-Level Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of Movement Schools’ mission, vision, and academic priorities across assigned campuses
  • Partner closely with the CEO and network leadership to shape and execute regional strategy, instructional priorities, and school improvement initiatives
  • Design, lead, and facilitate network-wide professional development for principals and school leadership teams, ensuring alignment to Movement’s instructional frameworks and leadership expectations
  • Coach and support principals to strengthen instructional leadership, people management, school culture, and operational effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and charter-authorizer requirements across schools in the region
  • Monitor academic performance, culture, and operational health, using data to drive continuous improvement and accountability
  • Foster a strong “one network” culture by promoting collaboration, shared learning, and consistency across Movement schools
  • Lead and support board relations by preparing regional updates, academic and operational data, and presentations; represent the region in board meetings as needed and serve as a key liaison between schools and governance
  • Share best practices and scale effective strategies to support instructional coherence and long-term sustainability across the network Operations, Finance & Compliance
  • Oversee school operations, schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Ensure the school budget aligns to instructional priorities and organizational goals
  • Make sound instructional and fiscal recommendations and decisions
  • Oversee facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming learning environment
  • Ensure funds and resources are used prudently and with accountability
