About The Position

Integrated Protection Services (IPS) is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Regional Service Technician in Indianapolis, IN to lead security system installations and ensure top-tier service for our clients. As a Regional Service Technician, you will oversee major customer projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality installations. You’ll be a key player in maintaining safety standards, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and delivering exceptional customer service that strengthens our reputation in the industry. You will continue to build relationships with these clients by handling routine and unexpected service calls for Access Control and CCTV in your region.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in a technical or security industry-related role.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
  • 3-5 years of experience with access control systems (Lenel, DMP, Bosch)
  • OSHA-10 hour certification (First Aid and CPR certification required).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make critical decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both internal teams and clients.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and company-specific software.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders, and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must pass a background check and maintain a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious violations in the last three years).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, programming, and servicing of Security Access Control Systems (including but not limited to LENEL).
  • Ensure IPS safety protocols are followed, halt work if safety risks are present, and maintain a safe job site environment.
  • Oversee and perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates for security and access control systems at existing client sites while ensuring seamless integration for new installations.
  • Conduct on-site reviews of completed projects, develop punch lists, and address quality issues.
  • Work closely with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Complete required manufacturer and company training, obtain necessary product certifications, and keep up with industry advancements.
  • Be available for after-hours or weekend work as required by project demands.
  • Navigate company software for job-specific details, documentation, and communication.
