The Role & What You Will Be Doing The Regional Analyst – Direct Tax CoE will support the accurate and timely preparation of U.S. GAAP tax provisions and local income tax compliance across assigned legal entities. This role will work under the direction of a Regional Director and collaborate with local finance, external providers, and Global Tax teams. Key responsibilities include preparing tax packages, reconciling tax accounts, reviewing local statutory data, supporting return-to-provision calculations, and facilitating tax payment processes. Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Regional Senior Analyst – Direct Tax CoE role will make an impact: U.S. GAAP Tax Provision (Year-end & Interim): Prepare tax packages on an entity-by-entity basis, including GAAP-to-STAT income reconciliations. Calculate current tax liabilities based on statutory income and reconcile differences to U.S. GAAP. Maintain reconciliations for intangible assets and fixed assets between book and tax bases. Reconcile tax accounts quarterly and explain unidentified movements (e.g., provision entries, payments, refunds, reserve changes). Perform cash tax payment analysis to track net positions by tax year and identify underpayments or overpayments. Income Tax Compliance: Obtain and review statutory trial balances to assess tax liabilities and support local return preparation. Collaborate with third-party providers and/or local finance contacts to resolve source data and accounting questions. Support the review and documentation of final income tax returns and adjustments. Complete standardized Return-to-Provision (RTP) templates, explain significant variances, and record tax entries related to RTP true-ups in local ledgers. Estimated Tax Payments: Calculate estimated tax payments and document underlying assumptions and calculations. Submit calculations and payment details to designated approvers and treasury teams. Upload payment forecasts and actual remittances to the applicable portal.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance or economy or preferably in taxation.
  • Must possess foundational knowledge of corporate income tax principles and U.S. GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740).
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deliverables across jurisdictions and reporting cycles.
  • Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with tax professionals, finance teams, and external service providers.
  • Must be proficient with Excel and other financial systems (SAP and HFM preferred), and willing to learn tax-specific platforms.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and accountability in meeting deadlines and maintaining documentation integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent is a plus.
